Green tea with gensing and honey (mock of Arizona tea)
I LOVE Arizona tea with gensing and honey - Tried it- not even close :( see notes below.
* 4 Qt. Water
* 2 Lipton Green Tea Bags (Regular Size) (Yes only two)
* 1 Cup Sugar
* 4 Tbsp Honey
* 6 Tbsp Lemon Juice
* 1/4 Tsp Gensing Extract
(can find at local health food source)
Directions
1. Boil 1 qt water
2. Steep Green Tea bags for 1 Hour (YES 1 hour)
3. After your hour is up add
the rest of the ingredients and stir
4. Serve chilled.
5. Save much dollars!
My Notes: This is NOT ANYTHING LIKE ARIZONA'S GREEN TEA W/ HONEY+GENSING!! I drink the stuff religiously and it's not anywhere near it. Too much lemon.
I may try it again and maybe be bold and go with 4 tea bags and only 3 tbs lemon- then add more lemon to taste if necessary... maybe then we'll get closer.
Was really hoping to save money too....sigh.

Kinderpunsch -alcohol-free hot punch
"Kinderpunsch" is an alcohol-free hot punch, served mainly in Christmas markets in Germany.
Substitute grape juice for apple if you'd rather.
Ingredients:
1 cup water
2/3 cup white sugar
2 pinches ground cloves
1 cinnamon stick
3 cups apple juice
1 lemon, sliced
In a 3 quart saucepan, bring water, sugar, cloves and cinnamon to boil.
Stir in juice and heat through. Do not boil. Take spices out and pour over lemon slices in serving bowl. Serve warm. Makes 1 1/2 quarts
Very sweet- and tasty! I made it with the apple juice - never tried it with the grape.

Drink (alcoholic) Raspberry Slush
MR. P'S OLALLIEBERRY RASPBERRY SLUSH
1/4 c. tequila2 tbsp.triple sec
1/4 c. Margarita mix
2 c. olallieberries* or blackberries
1 1/2 c. crushed ice
1 c. raspberry sorbet or ice
Procedure
Combine tequila, triple sec, margarita mix and berries in blender container. Process until smooth. Add crushed ice and blend. Add raspberry sorbet and blend until slushy. Turn into chilled glasses. Makes about 4 servings.
*Physically the Olallieberry looks like a classic blackberry. Genetically, however, the Olallieberry is approximately two-thirds blackberry and one-third European Red Raspberry. Eaten fresh, Olallieberries are excellent, however most are made into preserves and wine.

Drink (alcoholic) - The Green Hornet
The Green Hornet
1 part blue curacao
1 part captain morgans spiced rum
pineapple juice
Procedure
In a shaker add ice, pineapple juice, blue curacao, and rum. Shake like crazy. Pour into a cocktail glass.
I like to garnish with a slice of pineapple. You could also blend all of the ingredients in a blender for a nice summer slushy.
Drink with CAUTION!!! When this drink is made right you can't taste the alcohol. The blue curacao and pineapple juice makes it green and the rum will sting ya.
Enjoy!

Drink (alcoholic) - Southern Slam
Southern Slam (Long Drink )
1 shot Southern Comfort
2 parts OJ
1 part cranberry juice
Procedure
(should be similar in color to a Tequila Sunrise - also, Tropicana Orange-Cranberry can be used as a substitute for the OJ and cranberry juice.)
Watch out, though ... these are great in the summer and VERY refreshing ... but they'll SLAM right into you after a while!
